The Story of Higbee's Toffee
From my kitchen to you...
I remember my mom making her toffee when I was a little girl. It was a recipe that was handed down to her by a family friend. Every year after Thanksgiving she would begin the annual holiday toffee making. She would package it up as gifts for Christmas time for the entire family. Everyone would always look forward to their Christmas treats. As years went by people began to tease that their packages were smaller than the year before and why did they have to wait until Christmas?
Eventually, this tradition became too overwhelming for my mom to keep up with. That was when she decided it was time to share this time loving recipe with me. I realized that I had so many friends and people in my life, in addition to my family, that I wanted to share this treat with after putting so much of my heart into it. With that the compliments and my confidence grew. People I knew would share their gift and their friends would ask where they could get it?
In 2009 my girlfriends were heading the Christmas Boutique and Luncheon at my daughter’s school. They asked if I would like to sell my toffee? How could I say no, I had to try. I found that it wasn’t just the courteous compliments of family and good friends. People that I didn’t even know were telling me how great it was and then I realized that this was something that I found truly rewarding.I thought back to the start of when it all first began with my mom in the kitchen when I was a kid. I gave it my childhood name, and so began Higbee's Toffee.

Simple Ingredients Higbee's Toffee is patiently prepared in small handmade batches to ensure freshness. The perfect combination of fresh California almonds, pure cane sugar and sweet cream butter are blanketed in a rich coat of dark chocolate and covered in chopped roasted almonds. Words cannot describe!
For Freshness Your toffee can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 months or can can be frozen or refrigerated depending on your preference as many times as you wish for up to 6 months. If frozen, let stand for ten minutes before serving.

I wish I could give this 10 stars, but the highest option is 5. This toffee tastes so good you would never know it was vegan. I highly recommend this to anyone who is dairy free. Thank you Higbee's!
